Teradici Expands its Public Cloud Partnership with Google Cloud To Enable Customers to Deploy and Manage Secure, High-Performance Virtual Workstations

Teradici CAS, powered by PCoIP, is now supported on Google Cloud and available through Google Cloud Marketplace

SAN FRANCISCO and BURNABY, British Columbia, Aug. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Teradici®, the creator of PCoIP® technology and Teradici CAS, today announced that Teradici CAS is now supported on Google Cloud and available via the Google Cloud Marketplace.

“We are thrilled that for the first time, companies currently using or exploring Google Cloud can now tap into the power of our PCoIP technology, which enables them to easily build secure, high-performance, virtual workspaces and transition workloads to Google Cloud,” said Dan Cordingley, CEO of Teradici. “Making our Teradici CAS available to Google Cloud users was a clear next step in our partnership as more organizations today require ultra-secure access to graphics-intensive applications from the cloud.”

"Google Cloud Platform customers can now take advantage of virtual workstations backed by NVIDIA Tesla P4 GPUs on Compute Engine and Teradici's Teradici CAS to deliver low-latency and high quality video to users around the world, “said Ari Liberman, Product Manager at Google Cloud. “Teradici's PCoIP technology now allows artists and engineers to move their workstations to Google Cloud and only pay for the resources that they need, when they need them."

Companies are increasingly looking for a secure, global infrastructure that will support their need to grow and future-proof their business. Teradici CAS, built on industry-leading PCoIP® technology, empowers a rich user-experience and the flexibility to deliver desktops from Google Cloud to a variety of endpoint devices. Users can access their graphics-intensive Windows and Linux applications running on Google Cloud, utilizing the latest NVIDIA ® Tesla ®  P4 and P100 instances and get the same highly-responsive user experience of a local workstation.

“NVIDIA GPUs can deliver optimal performance for every cloud-based application, whether it’s Office 365, Gmail for office workers or CAD applications used by designers,” said John Fanelli, VP Virtual GPU, NVIDIA. “Teradici support for NVIDIA GRID and Tesla P4 accelerators now available on Google Cloud Platform will enable enterprise customers to deliver virtual workstations to any device, anywhere.”

For knowledge workers and power users requiring even the most graphics-intensive applications, in media & entertainment, government, oil & gas, and manufacturing industries, Teradici CAS securely delivers high-performance desktops directly from the cloud.

As the recipient of the Google Cloud Partner Award for Innovative Solution in Media & Entertainment, Teradici continues to widen its availability and make it easier for customers to use Teradici CAS. Teradici CAS in the Google Cloud:

  • Secures data: Data never leaves the cloud as the PCoIP protocol compresses and encrypts the desktop and only transfers pixels to endpoints.
  • Enables migration of applications and workloads without costly rewrites: “Lift and Shift” existing applications and workloads to a centralized environment, save the cost of re-writing applications for the cloud and transform them into cloud-enabled applications.
  • Enhances collaboration: Co-locate data, compute and graphics in the cloud, enabling flexible access from anywhere and improving user productivity.
  • Unleashes a rich user-experience: Highly responsive user experience for GPU applications

Available through the new Google Cloud Marketplace, Teradici CAS can now be purchased and bundled with Google Cloud consumption billing. The cost of Teradici CAS ($0.50/hour) will be integrated with cloud usage into one payment, for simplified billing.  All Teradici CAS feature updates will be available through Google Cloud Marketplace and supported on Windows Server 2016 and CentOS 7 operating systems. Users pay an hourly fee for what they use.
